Well, first let me say…
Happy New Year!
At least it is in Kansai today!
I was just helping a club in Nara do this yesterday and I wanted to share it with other club owners today in this post.
Listen up, because…
“These are 3 things that all tennis club owners should be doing and they aren’t new, but that isn’t the point here, the point is are you doing them or not”?
1). Testimonials.
The minute your member has shown you that they like your service and club is the minute that they need to write out a testimonial for you guys.
Print it in their words too, not yours.
That could mean grammar errors!
It must sound like they wrote it, so never edit them.
2). Repeat Business.
Keep looking out for more ways to sale to your presence members.
Now, this could be by getting them to sign up for private lessons, more group lessons or other events at the club.
Come up with cool weekly themes and promote them through direct mail, emails or just call them, to get them to spend more time at your club. (the more time they spend there, the more money your club generates).
Get and stay creative, the opportunities for repeat business are unreal when you start going deep into the relationship that you have with present members.
3). Referrals.
Like we talked about before.
You have to earn these and you must be relentless in asking for them after you have.
Not in an aggressive way.
But more in a strategic and tactical way!
The best way is by holding an “Members Appreciation Event”.
Hold an event for your tennis members and get them to bring all their friends and families.
Set up some good food and have free clinics in the morning and round robins in the afternoon, with a lot of free gifts and offers.
“Then, make sure that your staff gets the personal information of every non-member that came”.
Follow-up with all of them within 2 days of the event and thank them for coming and make another free offer of some type to them.
As a matter of fact.
These events can really triple your profits in months if done right!
Okay, copy and print this post out and post them up so you will remember to do it sometime, next year.
I’ll talk to you tennis club owners soon!
